When I'm not auditioning, working on-camera or doing voice-over, I'm usually working on my 2nd and 3rd verse novels, Windmills and Siblings & Other Torture Devices, my website, a short story, this blog or a script -- anything to avoid doing laundry.
I've written several spec feature scripts. Depth of Focus was my first one. After more rewrites than I care to remember -- and learning the screenwriting ropes (The burns on my hands are still healing.) -- I adapted the story because I really wanted it told whether it became a big blockbuster or not. So, with my poetry background, Depth of Focus: A Novel and Depth of Focus: The Stanzas were the result.
Description: After years of putting her family first, Danni decides it's finally time to take care of her own wants and needs. But, leaving everyone behind to follow her dreams in a new city presents its own set of challenges for the twenty-four-year-old aspiring photographer who didn't go to college when she had the chance. Without a scholarship, she's financially on her own.
As she struggles to balance a meddling roommate, nosy neighbor, former lover, current lover, mostly-absent father, jealous sibling, insecure best friend and suicidal mother with the demands of her lousy waitressing job, approaching birthday party and shrinking college fund, she realizes her dreams might not come true. Returning home a failure becomes more and more likely by the day. But, if she continues keeping everyone who cares about her at arm's length, she stands to lose a lot more than a promising career. She could lose her family and a shot at what she fears the most -- falling in love.

Siblings & Other Torture Devices is my comedy verse novel in progress. -- Unlucky in love, a young woman faces her sister's criticism and ridicule while pursuing career advancement, a young playboy, frizz-free hair and an unreachable body mass index -- despite having a best friend who might like her just the way she is.
Windmills is my drama/suspense verse novel in progress. -- A young musician in a small Southern town can't remember her father. But, she wants him to walk her down the aisle. The man she plans to marry doesn't.
I'm also working on an anthology of short fiction. From time to time, I'll post some free flash fiction or longer stories. Here are three:
